Samsung Galaxy M30s is providing a tough competition against its competitive Chinese Company Phones in India. Samsung Galaxy M30s was launched with a motto to withstand in the online market. As the mid level phones from Xiaomi, honor, and Realme provide better value for money when compared to the Samsung devices.

Samsung Galaxy M30s smartphone comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ (2340×1080) Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. You get around 90 percent screen-to-body ratio, which is really awesome for watching videos and playing games. By default, the screen offers slightly under toned and realistic colours, but you can switch to the Vivid mode in Setting if you need more punchier and saturated colours. Blacks are deep, which looks good with Night mode enabled. The design of the Samsung Galaxy M30s is not so different from Samsung Galaxy M30 and it gets a plastic body to feel less weight in your hands.

The Samsung Galaxy M30s measures 159.00 x 75.10 x 8.90mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 188.00 grams. It comes with Opal Black, Pearl White, and Sapphire colors to pick from.

Samsung Galaxy M30s is powered by a 2.3GHz Exynos 9611 octa-core chipset based on a 10nm process. This is the same processor that also powers the new Galaxy A50s. The Exynos 9611 SoC is equipped with a Mali G72 MP3 GPU and is paired with up to 6GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy M30s runs Android 9 Pie and is powered by a 6000mAh non-removable battery that lasts two days longer without any worries of heavy usage. The Samsung Galaxy M30s supports proprietary fast charging. With a 6000mAh battery, the phone did get slightly warm after a while, but nothing alarming while playing PubG.

Coming on to the cameras, the Samsung Galaxy M30s on the rear packs with a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/2.0 aperture; a second 5-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a third 8-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 aperture. The rear camera setup has autofocus. On the front M30s has 16 megapixel camera for nice selfies. Some Modes found in Galaxy M30s camera app are bottom like Photo, Live Focus, Video, Super Slow-motion, Pro, Panorama and Night and Food. You can also easily switch between the standard and wide-angle lenses in Photo and Video mode. After zooming a bit from the photos taken by the primary camera, it still maintains the edges and clarity.

The Samsung Galaxy M30s runs One UI on top of the Android 9 Pie. One UI also brings a system-wide night mode, which turns the background completely black. This looks great on the M30s’ AMOLED display as blacks look deep. It also helps conserve battery life and packs 64GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 512GB) with a dedicated slot. One UI comes with few preloaded apps which can un-installed. The Samsung Galaxy M30s is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards.

Connectivity options on the Samsung Galaxy M30s include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, USB OTG, USB Type-C, 3G, and 4G with active 4G on both SIM cards. Sensors on the phone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass/ magnetometer, proximity sensor, and fingerprint sensor.

Finally, even though Samsung Galaxy M30s comes with a bigger 6,000mAh battery and new Exynos 9611 processor, the M30s stands below Realme 5 pro as it offers slightly better performance with a Snapdragon 712 SoC and a 48MP quad camera setup for the same price. If you are in need of a bigger battery, the stunning AMOLED display, and One UI software then go for it.
